But then I remembered the mercies of the Lord, his kindness through ages past; for he saves those who take refuge in him, and rescues them from the very earth, from the gates of the nether world, my cry. I called out: O Lord, you are my father, you are my champion and my savior; do not abandon me in time of trouble, in the midst of storms and dangers. I will ever praise your name and be constant in in my prayers to you. Thereupon the Lord heard my voice, he listened to my appeal; he saved me from evil of every kind and preserved me in time of touble. For this reason I thank him and I praise him; I bless the name of the Lord. Second Lesson: Revelation 7:13-17
I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God Psalm: 116 or Psalm 116:1-8
Gospel: Luke 12:2-12
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. "When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."
